Produto Interno Bruto (Gross Domestic Product) is a unique compilation of music, released by Percebes - a label that has followed a solid path, trailed in the strongest roots of urban and dance music. The aim of it, is to help mingle the finest portuguese underground talent (both from within the ranks of the label but also from other local heroes) with a few international guests, closest to the label’s core.
 
The compilation features resident artists like Sheri Vari, Hélder Russo, Daino and founder Ka§par but also guest locals like Diogo + Moreno Ácido (who released the acclaimed “Roçadas” EP on friendly label Holluzam), the distinct Elite Athlete (who released on Joakim’s Crowdspacer label as Aqua Matrix), portuguese broken beat don Fradinho from Lazy Robots or Broadcite, and the talented youngster well versed in all things lo fi jazz, house and broken beat, Pedro (who has signed to Wolf Music). Lastly, Chicago based bestie Andrew Emil aka Change Request drops a massive mid tempo number, while Singaporean underground legend Eddie Niguel of Integrity Records also delivers the one massive banger on it, “Life”.
 
The offer is varied, the concept is more emotional than aesthetic and the result is confortably coherent: from bluesy downtempo funk, to snappy boogie, nasty dirty MPC beats, sluggish mid tempo, syncopated broken breaks, african vibes and classic sounding house music, Produto Interno Bruto is top notch Gross Domestic Product with a few imported jewels, delivered with great sound, as usual.
