Ka§par - Presciente (EP)

“Presciente” is a three-piece set of tracks that uses Caribbean and African rhythms as a base for creating fresh patterns. This exploration delivers results that are tropical and sunny - yet profound. It is pervaded by the rooted infliuence of purest classic house music from Chicago, Detroit and New York. It delves into ideas of spontaneity in composition to achieve textures of emotional simplicity. Strong and in-your-face deep tracks with relentless arrangements, made apt for demanding dance floors and huge sound systems.
“Urban Nature” creates an impression, suggests ancient rites, tropical climates, and earthy tones; driven by an irresistibly bumping beat that mingles with a funky, noodly bassline and a soulful synth pad. There are birds, space, melody, ethos, depth, and a clear atmosphere that pervades strongly throughout.
“Quarter Blood Technique”, a second piece of the release, is an exercise in techno and jazz in the finest tradition. Its sparse use of dramatic vocals, saxophone solos, and deep piano stabs soothe a gnarly, dirty beat that pounds over a whirling synth bass.
“Time Apart (Prescient Mix)” features vocal arrangements by portuguese synth soul band Thunder & Co. This closing title is actually the very first version of this song, featured in Ka§par’s “Gestures of Release” album. Influences of masters such as Ron Trent or Carl Craig are evident in this deep, percussive and sexy floor winner.
